That’s the call to action on the website of SYMPLED 2017 – a symposium on education recruitment.

The next symposium will be for education agents, and focus on “international education recruitment issues today and tomorrow…There are many education conferences but not one that looks at the business of being an education agent.”

The organisers say it’s the first time that a conference like this has been done.

Australia leads the world in the use, and regulation, of education agents, so a conference like this is overdue.

The SYMPLED conference looks to have an impressive list of speakers and presenters too:

  • Brett Blacker – CEO English Australia
  • Don Bellino – Assistant Director, NSW Student Centre Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP)
  • Mary Pozzobon – National Sales Manager, Allianz Global Assistance
  • Brett Galt-Smith – A/g Branch Manager, Policy and Systems Branch Department of Education and Training
  • Rod Hearps – Vice President at ICEF GmbH
  • Mark Lucas – iae Global – Education Agency
  • Philip Kilic – Open Colleges Australia – Head of International Business
  • Philip Pak – U&I Global – Education Agency
  • Melanie Macfarlane – MM Migration and VETA Education Agency
  • Chris Evason – Pier Online – Education Agent Training Course and QEAC Certification
