A Linkedin post in early April 2022 from an education agent based in Minsk, Belarus indicates that Study Group has suspended its relationships with education agents in Russia and Belarus.
Sergey Romanchenko, Deputy Director of education agency Contour LAMN, posted a screen shot of a message from Study Group to its Russian and Belarusian education agents:
Study Group has been contacted for comment.
It will be interesting to see whether other international education providers and educational institutions take similar action in relation to their education agents.
In an earlier Linkedin post, Mr Romanchenko lamented the fact that Wise (formerly Transferwise), which he said was a “popular service for students paying tuition fees to study abroad” had also stopped operating in Russia and Belarus, and closed customer accounts.
