Australia has a comprehensive legal framework – called the ESOS framework – that governs the provision of education to international students by Australian educational institutions.
“ESOS” is an acronym drawn from the name of the key piece of federal legislation: Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000.
The ESOS framework includes requirements on how Australian educational institutions must work with education agents.
Because the ESOS framework has multiple parts, it can be difficult to understand how it all works.

The AgentBee team created this infographic to explain how the various bits of the ESOS framework fit together.
The infographic focuses on the requirements around working with agents and the Australian International Education and Training Agent Code of Ethics. That’s because it forms part of our new online course for education agents on the Code of Ethics.
